Our Mission

Fashionkind exists to support women in recovery, and build their confidence and self-esteem, by providing great quality clothing at no cost, assisted by caring and committed volunteers who offer personalized service and interaction.

Our mission is more than clothes – our committed volunteers provide personal service and uplifting interaction in a unique boutique-like atmosphere, focused on helping women arrive at a level of self-confidence that enables them to improve their lives and achieve independence.

The increased self-esteem that comes from securing and maintaining employment not only helps individual women, but contributes to stable families, which, in turn, improves the viability and safety of our communities.

Fashionkind provides clothing, shoes, and accessories to women in recovery

Women in recovery have specific barriers to re-entry into the workforce. Professional attire is one of the final gaps that keep women from meaningful and quality work experience. We remedy this by supporting the restoration of their self-confidence and their wardrobe.

Stories of Recovery

Clothing is a basic need. It is also a form of self-expression and plays a role in our confidence, a critical element in overcoming barriers to employment. Help us give a boost to women in recovery without access to quality clothing on their journey to self-sufficiency.

The Challenge

When it comes to substance abuse and addiction, hardly a family has been unaffected. We are compelled to bring awareness specifically to the special needs of women faced with addiction — mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends.

“What an honor and privilege it has been working with Fashionkind Foundation.

I am so humbled and inspired by these women and their grit, grace, and bravery.

I love making people look and feel their best, and nothing gives me more satisfaction than seeing these girls light up when they see themselves in the mirror.

I applaud Johannah and her efforts with getting Fashionkind Foundation off the ground and can’t wait to see all the exciting things ahead for this wonderful organization.”

Building Confidence

One of the keys to relapse prevention is self-sufficiency. Women in recovery have specific barriers to re-entry iton the workforce, both external and internal. We help remedy this by supporting the restoration of their self-confidence.
